About
Architecture that
outlasts its brief.
Aurora has been drawing houses in Warsaw since 2009. Three architects, six cities, and a stubborn preference for fewer materials used better.
Why we
work this way
A house is judged in February, not in the render. So we start from where the light lands, hold the palette to three materials, and price every detail before it is approved — which is the only reason a drawing survives contact with a building site.

Principles
Four things we will not trade
01
Light before finish
Where the sun falls decides the plan. Materials are chosen afterwards, to serve that light rather than compete with it.
02
Fewer materials, better ones
Three materials to a room. Oak, stone and lime plaster age into something; a fourth surface usually just adds noise.
03
Drawn to be built
Every detail is priced before it is approved. A drawing a contractor has to reinterpret on site is an unfinished drawing.
04
We stay to the end
The studio that drew it runs the site. No handover to a delivery team who were not in the first conversation.
The studio that drew it runs the site. Everything else about how we work follows from that one decision.
Aurora — Warsaw, since 2009
Along the way
2009
Founded in a one-room studio in Mokotów, with a single house on the board.
2013
First multi-family building completed in Warsaw. Interiors become a department.
2018
Studio moves to Powiśle. The practice passes fifty delivered projects.
2022
Sales and advisory added, so a finished building can be handed over whole.
2026
Six cities, three architects, and the same rule about three materials.

Come and see what we mean.
The studio is in Powiśle, the coffee is decent, and the first conversation costs nothing.
