Upholstery fabrics you can see in the detail

A B2B site for a fabric maker: from the season’s collection to free samples shipped within 48 hours.

The hero — the line “Quality you can see in every detail” with a fabric swatch set into the headline and a close-up of the texture
The “Who we are” section with the brand statement and four figures

The season’s new textures scroll sideways, like a swatch book laid out on a table

The section pins to the screen and turns an ordinary scroll into a run through the collection. Every card says straight away which line the fabric belongs to and which certificates it carries.

The run through new arrivals — Moss, Dune, Plum and Ember cards
Further along the run — Ochre, Cloud, Graphite and Terra
Two collection lines — the timeless Core and the seasonal Atelier

Find a fabric in 30 seconds

A search box and three filters — use, properties, colour — narrow the collection live, with no page reload.

The fabric finder — search, filters for use, properties and colour, and the results grid

Five spaces, five sets of arguments

Home, HoReCa, office, outdoor and public space. The cards stack on top of each other as you scroll, and each one carries its own properties and standards.

The HoReCa use card — a restaurant interior and the fabric properties it needs
The Outdoor use card — a terrace with garden furniture
The “Beautiful outside. Smart inside.” section — six cards of properties and certificates
The “From trend to your factory” process in five steps, and a showroom stacked with fabric rolls

The same collection on a phone, redesigned for the thumb

The new-arrivals run, the filters and the use cards make it to the small screen with nothing lost — not squeezed, but laid out again.

Four mobile screens — new arrivals, the fabric finder, uses and the trendbook
The “Materia” trendbook with a download form and a list of PDF catalogues
The #selvedgefabrics section — a grid of fabric and interior photos
Contact — “Ask for a wholesale quote” — and the footer with a newsletter, navigation and a large SELVEDGE logotype
// Context

Upholstery fabric is bought by touch, and a maker’s website has to stand in for that touch well enough that a client orders a sample. Selvedge sells to furniture makers, architects and HoReCa, so the site has to show the texture up close and answer the technical questions at the same time: abrasion, flammability, certificates, series availability. I designed and built the whole thing — from a hero with a fabric swatch set into the headline, through a run across the collection and a finder with filters, to the use cards and a downloadable trendbook.
